Book Jackets

Book jacket book jacket, book cover, dust jacket, dust cover. All of these are words that explain what is very harmless. It covers the cover of the cardboard of books. The booklet was developed for practical purposes only: it protects books from dust, insects and other harmful substances. However, as the years passed, the booklet became an independent part of the book itself and the reading experience. The book jacket not only became an appendix to help sell books, it also became art itself.

After graduating from graduate school, I worked in New York as an actor (such as Circle Rep.Company, Ensemble Studio Theater, Playwrights Horizonos, etc.), start writing, copy again, then reserve a jacket and reserve a pornographic book folder did. If you ask who you are the designer of my favorite book, it is Alvin Lustig. It is impossible if you ask me what jacket design is my favorite. This is definitely one of his jackets for a new classic new direction. Lustig basically makes the New Direction series a modern style reminiscent of the development of the art world. Just as he translated Calder's sculpture and Joan Miro's picture into the cover of the book. Each book is shrunk to color, line, shape, and type to reflect the feel of the book, not the text. Geometric shapes, bold pallets, free-form lines are still felt contemporary today

Completing the cover design is a satisfactory part of the creative process, but according to one of the topics in the book the process does not seem to end. I still have to decide about folding inside the book's folder. The publisher initially proposed using internal flaps of flat black, and I had no problem with color change, but I gave up the theme of the old book. I would like to ensure a transition from old appearance to new appearance. I shared this manuscript with Linda Cowen, an in-house lawyer, and checked if she thought that certain lyrics were fair use or whether permission was needed. Most of them are fine except for three additional queries. If you let me know what you want to do in each situation, we can internally make changes to the manuscript.
