The number of tattoos seems to be increasing. According to a recent Harris poll conducted in the summer of 2007, about 40% of Americans aged 25 to 40 have at least one tattoo, but compared to 3% 20 years ago (Hawkes, Senn , & Thorn, 2004). When comparing these findings with the estimates of Life magazine in 1936, tattoos are becoming more common, with 10 million Americans or about 6% of the population holding tattoos (Swan, 2011 ). According to Kang and Jones (2007), tattoos are particularly popular among adolescents and college students.

Applicants for body art practitioners' licenses should provide the department and provide the HBV immunization status to the owner of the body art institution the applicant is trying to implement or conduct body art activities. : All body art practitioners need to maintain a high level of personal cleanliness according to sanitary practices, wearing clean clothes, and doing body art activities. If the clothing of the body art practitioner is contaminated, please wear clean clothes before other body art activities.
