In April 2009, a ship carrying 49 asylum seekers (the Australian Navy named "SIEV 36") exploded on the northern coast of Australia. Media and public debate on Australia's responsibility to individuals seeking asylum seekers is instantaneous. In this article we will investigate the media performance of the "SIEV 36" event and the public's response to media coverage through the online news forum. We studied three important questions: 1) Does the media review and support previous Howard Government policy? 2) Does news and general discourse regard as exile as a risk of Australian society? 3) Does the press comply with industry guidelines for asylum seekers report? Our findings attempt to attempt a balanced explanation of the problem, but the extent to which different types of reports comply with industry guidelines covering reporting issues on asylum-seekers and covering the use of "proper" languages It is suggested that there is a difference.

The ruling Liberal Party of Australia got the opportunity to show a strict attitude toward asylum seekers. A minority of opponents of the Australian Labor Party (ALP) is considered an internal division because it strongly supports more sympathetic treatment. This caused intense debate within the ALP on the relative advantages of supporting state opinion (supporting government action) or sticking to the party's principle (opposing opinion).
Asylum seekers, in particular "boat people" have been proved to be a major social problem, and in the past 12 months this has caused a lot of Australian intense debate. Australia has long provided a safe shelter to evacuation centers. However, in recent years, asylum seekers are regarded as a threat to culture and society, attitudes towards asylum seekers become increasingly negative, sometimes even hostile (Lynn & Lea, 2003). - Globalization is a broad term that is usually defined only by economic factors.
