If two nodes simultaneously broadcast different versions of the next block, some nodes may receive one or the other first. In this case we will process what we received the first time, but we will save another branch in case it gets longer. If the next work proof is found and one branch gets longer, the join is released and then the node working on the other branch switches to the longer node.

Step 4: When a mining worker fills up the block with a deal, it tries to solve a complicated mathematical problem unique to that block.
