It is really two volumes: the first section is the American black poetry, 1760 - 1975, and the second part is the American black drama, 1850 - 1975. These two parts are divided into two parts: 1) commonsense research including reference works, critical work, selection or collection; 2) collections of individual writers, writers' poetry, and biographies and critical work I will list it. At the end of this volume there are authors, titles, thematic indexes. Please post more than 850 short stories in collections and collections published from 1950 to 1982. The information source is divided into four sections. A chronological list of stories, an index of authors and titles, and a subset of comments and critiques. Brief explanation of each article The comment is included in the author 's index (it is not an index of the title). Comments and critiques are partially selective and analyze most (not all) 850 short stories.

American poets, novelists, playwrights, short story writers, and columnists are known for their Harlem Renaissance's work. African Americans were challenging white paternalism and racial discrimination. He is one of the first black writers acknowledged literally in the United States. When the darkness was ruthless, the fuse was not ashamed of becoming dark. He explored various black conditions and emphasized the theme "Black is beautiful" (Patterson, 1969).
