In the mid-20th century, the unique nature of Native American literature was black moose, a collaborative work by Okrara Lakota. It was shaped in prose by German-born poet John Nihat. As this book explains his vision and experience in his mother tongue, it raises a special problem for readers looking for the sound of Black Elk; at the same time, Ben Elk's son Ben says his father's words Translated into English, and again rewritten for his daughter Enid as a Neihardt stenotic version. She later made them grow, and Neihardt wrote the text.
A poet and author, John G. Neihardt (1881 - 1973), met Lakota medical scientist Nicolas Black Elk at Pine Ridge Reserve in South Dakota. Among Black Elk Speaks (1932), Neihardt tells stories of the lives of the respected elders and the decline of the Sioux as the end of the 19th century. This work is considered to be a classic depiction of the history and creed of Native American. Critics cast doubt on the true scope of this statement; while translated by Black Elk 's son Ben and arranged by Neihardt, his daughter Enid made further notes and edits. However, the explanation was strongly resisted by this criticism and appreciated at school to increase the history of expansion to the West, especially the influence on cruel human beings. Black Elk Speaks' topics include personal mental development and resilience, cultural protection and annihilation.
But black moose speaks more than the magnificent history of a brave indigenous country. It is a spiritual classic, due to John Nehat's sensitivity to the magnificent Earth of Black Stag, her creature, and humanity as a whole. Black Elk Speaks is a reading once in a lifetime. An emotional story of a young boy in Lakota before the booking period, an unforgettable history of the American Indian country, and a permanent spiritual message to all of us. "If there is a great religious classic in this century or this continent, it must be judged as a member of Black Elk Speaks ... his book has become the North American Bible for all tribes It ... ... It tells us about simple and convincing words about human experiences and encourages us to emphasize the highest we live ... "- Vine Deloria Jr
