Black Artists in Country Music

Charlie Pride did it in 1971. Darius Rucker did it in 2009. That's all. Two black men over the past 38 years are the only black artists who received the Country Music Association Award. Because country music is rooted in bluegrass, rhythm, blues, we can not win the star of more black country music.
