Alice Walker is considered to be one of the major voices of American black female writers and has produced a series of acclaimed works such as poetry, novels, short stories, essays and critiques. Her work depicts black struggles throughout history and has been honored with the insights of black life and portraits studied, especially the experience of black women in gender discrimination and racist society. Her most famous work, award-winning best-selling novel "purple", eventually records the life of a poor abused South women who breaches oppression by affirming women's relationship. Through a novel focused on black women of the 20th century, I will study how these writers respond to the crisis of black female representation in American culture. In other words, Ntozake Shange proposed "our own slave" and re-imagined what Audre Lorde called "Future Perspective of All Our Lives". Of course, the essential problem about the expression of a black woman in a novel is the question of who, what, and what to ignore in paying attention to these special experiences of black women.
