Pride, cruel, savage, we can use all synonyms of these words to explain Elmer's personality. This is his arrogance, that he made me think is that he is a scientist. This is his cruelty, and that is why Georgiana treats like the earth. This is his barbaric act, killing George Asia. But after all, there is still a problem. This is totally his fault. Is he the one who can blame? If we see this story from another angel, we can not say that Georgiana should be blamed for the lack of her pride.

In order to start the analysis, I chose a key phrase from Nathaniel Hawthorne's 19th century short story "The Birthmark". In "The Mark", the hero's alemer is obsessed with his wife's imperfection, her cheek mark. He is a born philosopher and tries to remove the birthmark from her cheek, which causes his wife to lose his life. The whole short story has many symbolic representations of social norms and standards of beauty in this era. At the beginning of the story, Elmer clearly shows that his wife's cheek mark is her complete and beautiful destruction. The birthplace in the shape of a hand decorating the cheeks of Georgia is the most important symbol in the story. Therefore, Hawthorne used it for the title of the championship. Her husband Elmer noticed this birth point is disgusting and destroyed her perfect beauty, but the other followers felt it was very attractive. This hand is seen as a trace of the fairy at birth, suggesting that Georgian is even higher than pure, innocent and deadly world. This trademark can also represent children undertaken by Georgiana and small hands that she will have in the future. This highlights her female and mother's position and extends the gap between Aylmer, a cold blood scientist who does not even think of a child. In the dream of Aylmer, he imagined removing birth points, but it seems that he mastered Georgiana's mind.
