Biography of Miles Davis May 26, 1926, Miles Davis was born in one of the most influential jazz musicians in history. As a trumpet player, keyboardist, composer and band leader, Mile is responsible for advertising various styles of jazz in his long and productive career. Miles Dewey Davis was born in a wealthy family in Alton, Illinois. My family owns most of the farm and Myers learned to ride a horse like a little boy. In 1927 my family moved to East Street.

It is not surprising to see a man with talent from Miles Davis came from Davis' father's music family. My mother plays the violin and my sister plays the piano.
