Ethan Allen was born on January 10, 1737 in Litchfield, Connecticut. In response to his father's desire for freedom of spirit, his family moved to Cornwall, Connecticut soon after his birth. After his father died in 1755, Allen abandoned the Bible study he was good at, was forced to quote the passage of the Bible and give meaning to them. Just two years later, in 1757 he became a volunteer soldier in the war between France and India. The reason he joined corresponded to the movement of France in the British colony.

Ethan Allen was born in Connecticut but he and his family explored the land with New Hampshire funds. After serving in the war between France and India, Ethan Allen purchased the land and settled in Vermont. But there was controversy about the land of Champere Valley that claimed both New York and New Hampshire were theirs. In 1770, the New York Supreme Court ruled that New Hampshire grants were ineffective. Correspondingly, a group of groups who called them for the "castle peak" boy gathered, preventing "yokers" from interfering with the land they claim. They nominated Ethan Allen as their leader, sometimes using violence, began threatening activists.

In 1770, Isan Allen became commander of the Green Mountain Boy Colonel (militia) founded in Bennington, Vermont, in order to protect the grant of New Hampshire State after obtaining land in this area. In the colonial riot, New England people like Allen and New York settlers insisted that they all occupied the land of Green Mountain. Allen's law and order have no life, but he is trying to reduce the form of physical intimidation to keep New Yorkers away from the area. Allen and his children proposed to achieve political independence in the region between the Connecticut River and Champrain Lake before the American Revolutionary War urged the transition from the UK to independence. In 1775, Allen and Green Mountain Boys captured Ticonderoga Fort from England with Colonel Benedict Arnold.
