Aristotle is a philosopher and scholar of Greece, a student of Plato and a teacher of Alexander the Great. He was born in Stageira in 384 BC, died in Chalcis in 322 BC. Aristotle believes that all substances are composed of four elements: air, water, fire, and the earth. They consist of particles with specific properties. Democritus is an ancient Greek philosopher. "He is an influential former Socratic philosopher and a Leucippus student," he was born in Abdella in 460 BC, died in 370 B.C. Democritus believes that there are particles that can not be divided; all problems are thought to be composed of atoms. It is different from Aristotle. Because, unlike the Earth, Wind, Fire and Water, he believes that each atom has its own characteristic.
Aristotle (384 BC - 322 BC) is the first person to put this concept on a reasonable philosophical basis, and he did this in natural philosophy, especially physics. In one volume. He adopted a reasonable assumption of the four Empedoclean elements, but added a fifth ether. But these elements are not fundamental to Aristotle 's mind. Instead, they are the same as everything else in the visible world composed of the basic principles material and form. Aristotle's words can literally be translated into timber or wood which is the "raw material" of the building. In fact, Aristotle's material concept is linked to what is inherently created or combined. In other words, contrary to the early modern material space concept, Aristotle's material is defined in relation to processes and changes. Matter is the basis of material change.
