Billy Pilgrim's Struggle with PTSD in Vonnegut's Slaughterhouse Five

In order to explain the devastating effects of war, Kurt Vonnegut harassed Billy Pilgrim's post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Billy Pilgrim shows many of the symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder through the story. Vonnegut uses five negative examples of these slaughter and explains an example of a horrible destructive war. The example in this book is similar to the real life experience of veterans including Vonnegut and eventually appears in a very effective anti-war novel.

Slaughterhouse 5 tells Billy pilgrims to go back and forth between prewar and post World War II World War.
