Big Creek People in Action

Big Creek People In Action (BCPIA) was established in 1990 to cope with the economic problems faced by McDowell County in the western part of Virginia after a decline in coal production (Big Creek People In Action, Inc., 2012). This organization is a non-profit organization 501 (C) (3), providing a festival and a community center for regional events, and also offers a learning facility that provides GED programs and other educational programs. Big Creek People In Action Mission Statement is to serve "McDoll County Community Education and Literacy, Leadership Development, Volunteer Services, Service Learning, Arts and Culture, Housing, Entertainment and Enterprises".

The 116 hearings were sponsored by the Big Creek People in Action and were supported by the RSM Libby Deliee of the Catholic Community service. The Big Hunting Creek in Frederick County, Maryland has long been known as a repository of trout streams. The whole stream is surrounded by Cunningham Falls State Park and Kathingshine Mountain National Park. The flow is cool and very beautiful. Despite its name, the Big Hunting Creek is actually very small, but the fishermen's primary residence.
