The story of Berengaria's life ends here, but there are more questions than answers about her few known facts. Unresolved issues are related to her marriage and she does not have any evidence that her husband is not completely indifferent and has a deeper attachment to her. The simple fact is that Berengaria was chosen by Eleanor of Aquitaine as her son, Richard Lionheart's wife. Berengaria married Richard in 1191. He is 36 years old, and she was around 22-25 years old.
