Beowulf and Dragon Beowulf are verses about strength and courage. The eighth part of the story is called "Beowulf and the Dragon". In this part, slaves, heroes, and dragons play an important role. These characters are very developed, it is also a setting for the end of the poem. In the scene "Beowulf and the Dragon", a slave who committed a wrong action stealed to gain his freedom, and should do so because he did something wrong. A slave decided to steal a beautiful cup to pay for his mistake.

Beowulf and Wiglaf attacked the dragon together, but Beowulf's sword broke, and the dragon caught the head of Beowulf. Wigraph attacked the dragon and killed the monster.
