Claudia likes art, so Claudia Miravista likes classes. But when I saw a boy going in and out of the painting, she laughed at me when she tried to tell them. But that boy, Pim is genuine, Claudia is "Artisti", I can travel to the land behind the canvas and help Pim, so I know that there is a world behind these paintings. A century ago, a witch confined the pim in this land.
This is a truly ingenious fantasy. The fact that we acquired several art courses adds to the power of this book. A writer, Alexander Vance, played very well in the architectural world here. To include some famous artists is not a big touch (not directly tell them who they are) (And Rembrandt is one of my favorite classical artists.
The roles of Claudia and Pim are really wonderful. They will surely attract junior high school students' curiosity and goals. Although the mystery of Pim and the witch is simple, I think that it is enough to draw interest of young readers. The whole world is about art and art history, but most young readers may not be aware that they will receive a very good art lesson when reading this book. Even a lover other than art may like this trip
One of my favorite parts is footnotes. Initially, footnotes may be thought of as a particular artistic era or a boredom dry history of artists, but in reality it is very humorous to inform the reader. The text seems to be excerpted from books of art history, and they add humor to books. For example,
JOHANNES VERSPRONCK (CA. 1603-1662). A portrait painter from the Golden Age of the Netherlands. He is known for his attention to detail, and it makes him regret only a few days at a time for him. This can explain why no one is smiling at his picture. Still, his portrait of a blue girl will appear in the Netherlands notes centuries later. More than 39 million bank notes are printed - many artists can not boast this circulation - and their work is never crushed by millions of Dutch hip purses. (An excerpt from Dr. Buckhart's fans and ignorant figures of art history)
After all, this is a really interesting reading, and I like something that might interest our artists with our youth. I strongly recommend it
Looking for a good book? Alexander Vance is behind the canvas as an artistic adventure for young readers and it is possible to educate readers without the reader's consciousness.
I received a digital copy of the book from Netgalley from the publisher in exchange for honest comments.
I must admit that "behind the canvas" is very interesting. In "Behind the canvas", Claudia is a shy girl who has no friends to live and breathe. She can learn to paint forever and I like to imitate famous works. But one day a strange thing happened - one of the paintings moved. More specifically, a boy who does not belong to the blue eyes will move. Then the boy speaks and she knows that his name is Pim. Pim is a real boy trapped behind a canvas by a witch. Claudia also learned that eyes beyond humanity are different worlds. In this world, all the pictures are active. Some real people, including the evil witch Nee Gezicht. Claudia must face any fear of rescuing her only friend from the life behind the canvas. I like the concept of this story the most. The writer apparently plans a lot about the world after each picture. I like the idea that these pictures are related to our own world. I also like writers that you guess.
Claudia Miravista liked art, but until the Dutch boys Pim appeared in the paintings of her room, only something on the surface could be seen. For centuries, Pim has been trapped in the world behind the canvas by witches who crave power. Moved by the help of old artists and the magic of some microwave ovens, Claudia is awesome and awesome behind the canvas with the aim of destroying the most valuable property of the witches and releasing her new friends I will enter the world. But in that world there is no performance on the surface. Not even friendship
