Another clear sign of Bedstone's luxury is that people enter the village from the outside community. This is part of my upscale definition and is obvious here. My two figures portray it clearly and show how truthful it is. As you can see from the picture, most people have entered the village over the past 5 years. This is actually 50%. This indicates that people suddenly flooded the village. Overall, 62.5% of the population has moved in the past decade, only 17% of the village population lived there for over 20 years! As can be seen from another picture, 61% of the village moved from the county outside Scotland and Devon far away.

As mentioned earlier, workers at schools, hotels, diaries and farms live in bedstones. Basically this is a working class village where all adults are working. At that time, things such as retirement and pension were not heard and it was not obvious. However, as the population of the village has decreased and services change. The population decreased from 162 in 1891 to 75 in 1961. However, retirement will eventually become part of culture, our country will become more enriching.
