Beauty Pageants: Helpful or Harmful?

There was a controversy as to whether the beauty contest is suitable for young girls. A beauty contest, young girls should not participate. Of course, any beautiful woman will be proud of that girl because the beauty contest spends comfortably around adults, gives the opportunity to earn money and teaches that they are friendly and important. There are also some disadvantages, such as the amount of money to spend, hard time to compete, training that girls have to receive, and most importantly, emotional and physical harm that can occur in the long run.

Most beauty moms deny the bad effects of having children in the beauty contest. The beauty contest insists "to neutralize" abnormal behavior of her daughter in the beauty contest, and helps her daughter rather than hurting her daughter contest. In addition, the mother said that her daughter chose to participate in a beauty contest (Pannell 68), denying her responsibility as a responsible parent. In a survey of childcare beauty contest contest, all beauty contest participants were talking about competitors who won prizes, crowns, trophies and gifts in children's beauty contest (Mosel-Talavera 81).

Some parents believe that beauty contests will have a positive impact on children. This is not unusual. Therefore, many children participate in beauty contest every day. A beauty contest is not yet safe if these parents choose not to be told about the harmful effects of the beauty contest or if parents choose to ignore these harmful effects. Many parents say beauty contests are a fun way to help college education payments by competing with other children of the same age and providing scholarships to the winners (Catwalk, 1997). However, experts have very disagreement. Parents may think that beauty contests can create healthy children's competition and increase their social interaction with other athletes, but the beauty contest is actually a competitor's social quality It hinders improvement (Eder, 1997). Because of the fierce competition in the beauty contest, the kids will not participate in beauty contests with other players. Experts including Dr. Myers Frank seem to agree
