Baroque Art

After Protestant reform began, the Catholic Church accepted its anti-religious reform. In order to combat the spread of Protestantism, the Church has developed a dramatic, emotional and highly realistic new artistic style. This new style, later known as the Baroque style, is in stark contrast to genre paintings in the Protestant northern area, which is often used to teach ethical courses (Sullivan). The church, born in Italy in the 16th century, protected the fans by expressive, visually interesting and interactive religious scenes (Fiero 203).

Baroque art began to exist in the 17th century and continued until the mid 1700s. Catholics use Baroque art for anti-religious reform. Baroque art is characterized by rich and vibrant colors, intense light use, wonderful drama and prosperity. Unlike the Renaissance art that usually depicts feminine scenes, Baroque art captures the climax of the scene. It uses dynamic lighting to create a "spotlight" effect on the canvas

Baroque art and Renaissance art are two forms of art, the main differences can be distinguished between the two art forms. Baroque art is the art form born in Rome. Baroque art became popular with its complex and contradictory nature and its ability to evoke emotions. The Renaissance art is a complex influence of nature, classic learning, and personality. The main difference between the two forms is that the Baroque art is characterized by luxurious details, but the art of the Renaissance is characterized by the fusion of Christianity and science to create realism through art.

Furthermore, emphasizing the magnificence of Baroque art is essentially regarded as absolute. Religious and political themes are extensively explored in the context of Baroque art Paintings and sculptures are characterized by dramatic elements of drama, emotions and drama. Famous baroque artists include Caravaggio and Rubens. Baroque art often has rich and warm colors and dark backgrounds, especially in gorgeous and sophisticated nature.
