Raising gas prices is the best way to solve the growing traffic and pollution problems. To what extent do you agree or disagree? What other methods do you think would be effective?
Traffic congestion and pollution are major problems worldwide. Pollution in large cities is particularly serious. Several proposals have been made to solve this problem. One of them is raising fuel prices. But I think there are many other more effective solutions.
Rising fuel prices is a short-term measure. This may reduce the number of cars on the road, but it is generally a negative decision as it affects not only the use of cars but also the prices of food items and other goods. In my home country Chile all depend on transportation, so the price of gasoline will have a big impact on the cost of those who pay even a piece of bread.
More creative solutions In the long run, you need to face these problems. For example, it is some ideas I think that increasing investment in alternative fuels and improving public transportation can reduce the use of private transportation and eventually reduce air pollution. A personal plan that shares a ride is also a good idea. In Amsterdam which is one of my favorite cities, this problem is solved by investing in excellent bicycle infrastructure, so cycling increases, cars are prohibited from entering the city center, people are I found another way of transportation.
In short, due to population growth and deterioration of air quality, governments and individuals have been forced to change and to reduce the use of private transportation. I am convinced that there is a better and more effective solution for solving traffic problems than petrol price hikes.
Traffic congestion and pollution are common problems in cities that are difficult to solve. Some people think that the best way to solve these problems is raising gasoline prices, but because the overall rise in gasoline prices affects the rise in commodity prices, I think that it is not good for the national economy I think. I think there are other effective ways to solve the increase in traffic volume and pollution problems as well. I think there is a possibility that the rise in gasoline prices will encourage daily travel to be changed from private to public transportation. In Singapore, for example, since government policies include raising gasoline prices and taxation of high taxes on private cars, Singaporeans are more likely to use public transportation. As a result, people in Singapore started using their cars at home and using public transportation.
On the other hand, some think that raising gasoline prices reduces usage, thereby reducing traffic congestion and pollution increases. But despite rising gas prices, people will continue to use it. Because there are no other viable options for driving a car. Therefore, there will be no major change in increasing traffic problems and response to pollution. In fact, due to the rise in gasoline prices, the cost of goods will rise due to an increase in shipping costs, which could adversely affect the economy.
IELTS Writing Task 2 Sample 456 - Increasing gasoline prices is the best way to deal with increased traffic volumes and pollution problems.
Today, interference with traffic and air pollution is of great concern to the world. Some people think that raising the price of gasoline will solve the problem. In my opinion, this is not a good solution, because it will lead to price increases for everything in the world. On the other hand, it is a more effective solution to improve the service of public transportation by using a friendly resource environment. Rising gas prices will lead to cataclysm. This situation will rise as most of these industries depend on gasoline from the factory due to the prices of food, clothes, cars and so on. Therefore, raising gasoline prices is not an effective way to solve traffic congestion and pollution problems. On the other hand, there are many effective ways to solve these problems. First of all, it is a good solution to use environmentally friendly resources such as solar cars, gasoline cars, electric buses and so on.
