We recognize the intrinsic value of nature and the myriad benefits human beings create from it. AWA represents a natural landscape and ecological process in Alberta, looking for safely interconnected habitats that maintains a complementary complement of local wildlife populations. AWA supports the protection of wildlife in the natural environment and fulfills its role as a public resource.
The National Wildlife Federation currently supports population of fish and wildlife in evacuation centers, parks, wild areas, private lands, forests, wetlands, grasslands, waters and coasts. We also focus on protected areas, workplaces and community strategies for expanding, strengthening, and linking important habitats for these landscapes. Our coastal areas are constantly under pressure from pollution and development pressures. They also face new challenges due to climate change, such as sea level rise, ocean warming, and acidification. The National Wildlife Federation and its partners have restored the coastal wetlands of the Mississippi Delta and the Gulf of Mexico and are strengthening coastal resilience along the Atlantic coast after Hurricane Sandy. Through guidance, policy advocacy, field projects, we will expand the use of natural coastal topography.
Ryan Zinke Interior Minister is buying and selling our wildlife and the wilderness. In his first year as a secretary, he showed a serious disregard for American public domain and the protection of wildlife called the house. Instead, through a clear statement and a series of administrative measures his real goal is to use our commons for the highest bidder by using it for mining, mining, development etc. of fossil fuels .
We need to work together to protect our commons. We value everything from pollution and development to the wild environment invading the atmosphere, water, and wildlife. We all benefit from the huge economy that protects our land. Not only do we not only threaten our economy, we also hate being crushed by fraudsters pretending to be smart merchants as well as threatening our American tradition. Bear's ears mean different from person to person. Many Americans do not know, but this landscape is a sacred place for Native Americans, a world class rock climbing destination, a miracle for outdoor enthusiasts, and a sacred place for archaeologists. But it is also the goal of elected officials who want to privatize and develop our commons. We need to protect these special places. The bear's ears are definitely one of them.
