Abstract - This article describes the dual mode power / performance optimization mode. This dual mode SRAM uses the same power optimization mode approach in which the delay in the speed optimization mode is compensated by lowering the precharge voltage when the sense amplifier is later than the design and the access time is increased in each iteration. The proposed method is a macrocell representing a row of 512 cells implemented with 0.18 um CMOS technology. In the power optimization mode, it is confirmed that the reading frequency increases by 45%, and the failure rate doubles as compared with the conventional method using analog and measurement.
