Attention Theories

This article deals with concerns and theories raised for this purpose. For example, attention focuses selectively on one stimulus, which refers to ignoring the other aspects of the environment, so it is a limited cognitive resource (Smith & Kossyln, 2007). The theory for gathering attention is diverse, mainly derived from information processing theory. This article focuses on the focus of attention.

Kahneman and Treisman (1984, p. 55) briefly explains the main differences in the attention theory of early selection and delay selection. In addition to these two extreme positions, the theory of combining the two theories is also being debated.

The "very influential" theory of selective attention is perceptual load theory, which states that there are two mechanisms affecting attention: cognition and perception. Perception thinks that a subject can recognize or ignore stimuli including task related and non task related. Studies have shown that it is much easier to ignore stimuli not related to tasks in the case of many stimuli (especially if they are related to the task). . Cognition is the treatment of actual irritation. Studies on this show that the ability to cope with stimulus diminishes with age. In other words, young people can perceive more stimulus completely and deal with it, but you can handle relevant information and inappropriate information. We will reduce irritation, but normally we will only process relevant information
