Atomic psychiatry? An essay.

This paper aims to address the need to rethink classification of mental illness and attracts attention to its current use for quantum biology and its future use to understand the nature of psychiatric disorders.

In order to better understand quantum mechanics / quantum biology theory and its contribution to medicine, I hope to separate neuroscience from clinical research.

In recent years, many psychiatric philosophers are opposed to this view and claim that at least some categories of mental disorders are not qualified as standards for natural species. On the other hand, unlike gold atoms and tigers, patients with mental disorders seem to interact with the concepts and categories they are acquiring. For example, Hacking (1999) argues that the history of psychiatry tells us that many of the continuous concepts of schizophrenia have different effects on the symptoms of disease, and vice versa. Others believe that even though categories of mental disorders are similar to biological species, they are not considered to be natural species. For example, according to Zachar (2000), modern evolutionary biology indicates that the species is not a natural species. They are different from each other unless they are finite entities.
