Assyria, a Powerful Ancient Empire

Assyria is a powerful ancient empire once spread during the fertile new moon. It includes four contemporary country countries: Turkey, Iran, Iraq and Syria. Today, Assyrians live in these areas, but in the past century many people emigrated to Caucasus, North America and Europe. Current language of culture is various new Aramaic dialects, they also speak the native language of the country where they live. In spite of persecution, the culture of Assyria still exists today.
