Assessing the View that Deprivation is the Main Reason for the New Religious Movements

Assessing the right of deprivation was the main reason for the new religious movements, members of the mainstream church suddenly declined. However, the relationship with other religious groups (including Christian, Seventh day Adventist, and Christian sects) also increased significantly. It is estimated that there are 25,000 new religious organizations in Europe alone. In an attempt to classify new religious movements, Wallis identified three major NRMs.

New religious movements: groups and exercises other than traditional Christianity, Judaism, and other major religious traditions by faith and practice. Even established religions like Christianity have begun to become a new religious movement in Judaism, but the example of a new religious movement is the unification of the church and various new organizations. Scholars prefer the term "new religious movement" rather than "cult" because the word "cult" is like a political term used to condemn new religious groups. There is little evidence that the new religious movement actually uses "brainwashing" (Stark and Finke 2000: 136).

New religious groups and campaigns are major religious groups / sports, which is different from mainstream religious culture (Christian West in our case), but is a quest for new host culture. According to this definition, a single largest NRM block represents a new invasion of an old religion from another culture such as Hare Krishna and Zen Buddhism. Some of these NRMs come from smaller religious traditions such as Punjabi Divine Light Mission, Mahikari, Mazdaznan. The second set of NRMs represents early religious traditions that have never been integrated into mainstream culture for generations (theology, spirituality). It is worth noting that Christianity has been a major religious tradition of the West for centuries, and we know that the ancient Gnostic competition for tradition has never died.

The New Religious Movement (NRM) is a religious community or spiritual group of modern origin (since the middle of the 19th century) which has a peripheral position in its socially dominant religious culture. The NRM can be innovative or be part of a wider religion, in which case they are different from existing sects. In 1999, Eileen Barker estimated that some but not all of the natural resource management systems marked as cults are tens of thousands of people all over the world. Most members have only a few members, some of them are thousands, and a few are more than one million. In 2007, religious scholar Elijah Siegler, NRM did not become a dominant belief in which country, but many of the concepts they first introduced (often referred to as "the new era") are the mainstream culture of the world It was part of it.
