Assessing the Perceived Image of Citizens about Romanian Police Forces

Therefore, based on the fact that the image of the institution is greatly influenced by the interaction between its members and the external world, the image of the employee as part of a highly relevant image of the police organization Focus on (Hatch & Schultz, 1997).

This survey consists of two related factors to evaluate citizen's perceptions of police behavior and to evaluate the impact of population, experience, situation and situation factors. One factor is a questionnaire that measures how our assumptions affect citizen's perception and an assessment of factors encountered by police and citizens. The second factor is an elemental experiment to test how citizens perceive and evaluate encounters of these types with the manipulated vignette, including the actual police video.

Some policemen want citizens to always adhere to the authority of the police. When the citizen challenges instead, some officials believe that they constitute an informal crime that such actions rebel against the police and use physical strength to cause compliance. Episode variables such as suspects who are exercising force against the police are good predictors of the use of force by the police. Other departments have established rules to limit the use of force by the police. For example, more and more cities have established an early warning system to identify police officers with high citizen complaint rates.

Police brutality refers to intentional word attacks and excessive attacks on the people. This excessive force may be a form of physical or psychological intimidation. In many countries around the world, especially in the news of such cases, police brutality is very obvious. It is seen as a police cheating including sexual abuse, police corruption, false arrest, race profiling, political oppression. These forms of police brutality are mainly targeted to vulnerable populations such as the poor, the weak and the elderly (Wallace, 2010). Most of these police brutality is related to racial discrimination (agency). In many countries, the police allow arrests of suspects and allow them to exercise force to protect themselves. But they should control every situation and use reasonable power to achieve their goals.
