General Public libraries, like library fellows and library foundations, receive funds from various sources such as taxes, subsidies, fund-raising organizations. Studies completed to date have investigated the demographic characteristics of their funds and their impact on library services. In addition, research shows that funding is becoming increasingly important to libraries and their customers as tax revenue and other government support channels are decreasing.
