W.H. Oden's poem "I came all night" is a long tradition of poetry and records the fight of love and time. Just like everyone else's lover loves an invisible lover to follow his wish, or to fraud "until China met Africa" (l.10) "flower" ( l. 19) and a proponent of magnificent love. However, Oden has departed from this tradition in other ways. For example, these other works are mainly temptation poems.
