Art: Interaction and Participation Since 1998, I am a participant of Burning People. Last year I went to SIGgraph - it was my first time to join the burning man - artwork gave me complete inspiration. Despite both offering similar artworks, we can not create deep desires for works like art like Burning Man. Do not get me wrong. The art of SIGgraph is very good, but it does not change me like art that burn people. I am trying to define this difference.

I want to create art through exchanges with the public, so I would like to concentrate on participatory public art. When participants dialogue, art is triggered and visual or audio effects are born. At the end of the ITP camp this July, I showed off my project "Body Contact". This is a circuit that generates different tones based on resistance. I really like how much excitement and surprises people bring when they communicate with each other. Some hugs and kisses, once there were ten people hand in hand to complete the circuit. I would like to further develop this project by further adding visual effects and changing the display of this device to make it easier to see.

Interactive art involves participant's art in some way, and the purpose of art is realized by participation by someone.
