Humans do not have satisfactory appeal to wild animals. Every year millions of people participate in hunting trips, watching tours and watching Jeff Cowen attack the snake on the planet of the animal; others watch the animals all day in the local Drive to the zoo
This concern for animals is not new: as early as 1250 BC the zoo hosted people with collections of exotic animals. [Source: Fravel]. Later, in England in the early 13 th century, Henry III transferred his Royal Zoo to the Tower of London for public viewing. At a small fee, visitors can see animals such as lions, camels, and uries. The first modern zoo - the Imperial Zoo in Vienna, Austria - was founded in 1752 and still attracts tourists. Near German, the largest animal collection in the world: Berlin Zoo (formerly Berlin Zoo) has more than 15,000 animals collecting nearly 1,700 animals [Source: Encarta]
All US animal exhibitors, such as Bronx Zoo, which is only 265 acres (107 hectares) by subway from Fifth Avenue, must apply to the Ministry of Agriculture and obtain permission. Millions of people have visited thousands of zoos worldwide.
However, depending on your viewpoint, the zoo may be a shelter for education and recreation, or it may become an unnecessary prison. Some people think that zoos play an important role in conservation and research, but others think that they are more harmful than good.
Which is it? Is the zoo good or bad? How do you distinguish what is good for animals and what is good for the whole species? This is a subtle question, but it is not easy to answer. Let's start with good news.
Whether the zoo is good or bad for animals is Toss. As you can see, this depends greatly on the zoo you are talking about. Thanks to the research and conservation efforts of the zoo it depends on whether it actually means happiness of a single animal living in the zoo or whether it means happiness of animals that are thousands of miles away. If you have Dr. Doolittle's communication skills, Leo Snow Leopard may say that the zoo is wonderful, but Elephant Maggie may beat you in your torso
The zoo as a whole is not bad. Is there a bad zoo? Nice to meet you. Yes. There are many zoos that simply use these animals to be attractive, a way to earn money. However, you need to know how much the right zoo will actually serve these animals. Breeding programs are wonderful and cause miracles to maintain the population of endangered animals. I am fortunate to be raised in Peterborough, the place I am thinking to be a free zoo relying on donation, the second largest moral zoo in Canada. They liked these animals and could even breed threatened endangered turtles in danger of extinction. The zoo is also how we actually understand these animals and how to care for them.
Most people are aware that not all zoos are considered equal. There are both "good" zoo and "bad" zoo. Most of us agree that poor animals in a poor cage often seen in the Far East Zoo are in the "bad" category. And I think that the zoo of developed countries such as Twycross Zoo and the Zoo of Aspinall Foundation will remain. High animal welfare standards are "good" standards. However, the categories are not necessarily clear, the boundaries often overlap
Yeah, it's easy to look at the dark zoo and terrible events and mark them as bad - but the zoo has enough evidence to prove this, as the zoo is often terrible for animals, even in good conditions. Zoological animals suffer from various neurological disorders, from anxiety to depression, obsessive compulsive disorder. These are not affected in the wild, coupled with physical effects such as lack of adequate space, fatal inbreeding, troublesome repetitive behaviors. Yes, we are really shaking these animals.
