Are our Males in Crisis and are They Being Marginalised?

What is marginalization of men? This can be said to "treat" people as society, treat them as people who occupy social space without taking on special roles and responsibilities, not masculine. Structural functionalists insist that the marginalization of men is "a relatively small number of other members of the group, at the end of an effective link connecting the group" (Barrow & Reddock, 2001). Several scholars believe that men are left behind, which is an increasing problem in the Caribbean.

In Australia, people are increasingly aware of sexual offenses and their impacts, even to marginalized but important groups, male victims. To date, male abuse is still insufficient in literature, statistics, and programs related to sexual abuse. This resource document provides a current summary of research and information on male survivors of sexual assault and rape. This survey is the first extensive analysis of the police investigation of rape crime in Victoria for over a decade. We used the Victorian Police Law Enforcement Support Program (LEAP) database to analyze the 850 rape cases reported to the Victorian police between 2000 and 2003.
