Are Oil and Gases a Sustainable Source of Energy?

Earth always produces more petroleum and natural gas, but some people think that it is not a sustainable energy source. The future of the earth's energy can not be supported by only one energy source and will not be supported anymore. The future of safe energy depends on the source of controversial reactors and the source of unknown kinetic energy. Nuclear energy is ideal and very cost-effective. As a human being, we have almost mastered the art of nuclear fission. Currently, nuclear power plants are responsible for about three-quarters of carbon-free energy.

These sustainable energy sources are often referred to as "alternative energy sources" because they are considered as an alternative to traditional fossil fuels such as oil and coal. Because energy is renewable, it does not mean that it is 100% environmentally friendly. For example, a dam uses the power of running water, but it also harms fish and wildlife. Wind turbines use solar energy to generate clean power, but the manufacturing process affects the environment. Overall, however, alternative energy sources include a much lighter environmental footprint than fossil fuels. That is why renewable energy is very important. They are tickets to our less contaminated world. Even though we are not facing the threat of climate change, minimizing pollution is the foundation of health.

Generally, renewable energy is clean energy and pollution-free. Many forms do not emit greenhouse gases or toxic waste during power generation. It is a sustainable energy source that can be relied on for a long time. Renewable energy is cost effective and efficient. Due to the challenges of climate change, many countries have set renewable energy targets. In 2001, the Australian Government introduced the Mandatory Renewable Energy Target (MRET) program with the aim of increasing the use of renewable energy in the Australian electricity supply. In 2007, the government promised that by 2020 20% of the Australian electricity supply will be supplied from renewable energy.
