In today's Ireland there are many types of "family" structures compared to the ideas we had many years ago. Today, we left a "traditional family" of mothers, fathers and children. This is where my father works and my mother is at home to take care of the house and the children. Recently, we saw the change of a single parent family, homosexual family, and reconstruction family. (Maciones and Plummer 2002), this family is a social institution that people work together to raise children.
Immigration in Boston Irish immigration in Boston is one of poverty and discrimination. Irish religious-centric culture and its importance to families has made it possible for Irish people to prosper and persevere in an unfair time. The Irish immigrant population in Boston accounts for one-tenth of the population. After arrival, many people were unable to find the right job and eventually lived in the place where the previous generation lived. This is for reason ... "invisible". For many people, this goal is beyond their scope and crime. Guggenheim, D. (April 2013) The dream is in front of you. My dream is in front of you. http://www.thedreamisnow.org/documental I heard stories about immigrant families who were influenced by the lack of documents that "dream is now" from the video. This documentary conveys the lives of five promising young people who wish to become social productive power. A person who wants to become a doctor, a soldier and an engineer. "You negotiate.
As a white American, I never felt like a citizen's tradition. My family is, of course, Irish. According to my DNA examination, I am Irish. This has no meaning to me. I did not grow up in an Irish house. We have never been to Ireland for generations. The name we have is not even Irish; this is German. The only thing Ireland relates to my family is a joke about Ireland and drinking. This is a big problem in the social justice community, as many of them are fighting for their perception as minorities. African Americans, Asian Americans, Muslim Americans, and other American communities are fighting for their rights. As a student at the Free State University, this is what I often interact with.
Immigrants from Ireland of the 19th century led to the population of the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, and Australia. As of 2006, 4.3 million Canadians, accounting for 14% of the population, are Irish. As of 2013, a total of 34.5 million Americans claim to have Irish descendants. The Irish American today is mainly a Protestant and Catholic minority. Protestant ancestors came mainly from the colonial era, but Catholics mainly came from immigrants of the 19th century. For over 150 years, the Irish leaders stand out in the American Catholic Church. Irish people are leaders of the Presbyterian and Methodist traditions. According to a survey in the 1990s, 51% of Americans who claimed to be "Irish" were Protestant, 36% considered Catholics. In the south, Protestants occupied 73% of Irish descendants and Catholics accounted for 19%.
