The design design, size, and location of commercial design shops of gas stations before 1970 have a great impact on consumers. Especially when trying to sell very common and indispensable products like gasoline it is important to have a roadside structure that makes it easy to access and purchase products. In the early 1920s, companies advertised gas stations using their own logos, colors, slogans, and architectural shapes. The style of a very common native language gas station that uses these advertising methods is the style of the house.

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus is a historic railway station in Mumbai, Maharashtra. The station is the headquarters of the central railway and it is designed in Victorian Italian Gothic Revival architecture. The station was designed by Frederick William Stevens. This is a classic building built in 1887. Long distance trains are connected to the Mumbai nearby subway train, which formerly this station was called Bori Bunder Railway Station or Victoria Terminus. . In 1996, the name of the station was changed to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus

Both the Jefferson Hotel and the Commonwealth Club are designed by professionally trained Beaux-Arts architects Carrere and Hastings. Many of the buildings on the campus of Richmond University such as Jet Hall and Ruilan Hall were designed by Ralph Adam Scrum, especially his Princeton University Church and St. John 's Cathedral.
