Archaeologists in Egypt discover mummification workshop

Cairo - Egyptian archaeologists have tripped over the new discovery dating back over 2,500 years near the famous Egyptian pyramid near the ancient cemetery in southern Cairo

This discovery included a shaft used as a mummification workshop and a public burial ground in the Sakhala cemetery of Bangladesh, the first capital of ancient Egypt. Memphis is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with a vast cemetery, various temples and graves, and three famous pyramids of Giza.

The latest discovery was announced at a press conference on Saturday. This ruin is located south of the Unas Pyramid, which was discovered more than 100 years ago in 1900.

In the mummy workshop, pottery, large intestine, measuring cups were decorated a lot. Archeologists believe that this discovery will reveal more about the oil used to mummify the 26th dynasty.

Germany - Egyptian delegation Chairman Ramadan Hussein said at the press conference: "We are in front of the gold mine on the chemical composition of these oils"

Among the artifacts found are mummy cartons, canopy cylindrical bottles, marcle clay debris and pottery cups. Many exhibitions will be held at the large Egyptian Museum under construction, the first stage of which will be completed later this year.

Archeologists also found a gold-plated silver mask on the face of a mummy in a severely damaged tree coffin. Mask is the first mask ever discovered since 1939 and belongs to the priest.

"The discovery of this mask may be called an emotion," Hussein said. "So far, most of the tombs of senior official Egyptian officials have been looted by ancient times, so no precious metal masks are preserved."

Along the shaft 30 meters deep, many graves were carved on rocks on both sides of the two corridors. There are some mummies, tree coffins and sarcophagi

"This is just the beginning," Haleed Al Anani adds. He further told reporters that after drilling further, these sites may produce more discoveries.
