Arbutus

Arbutus is about 11 hardwood evergreen shrubs or wasteland (azalea) trees. These plants are native to Southern Europe and West America, and some plants are grown as ornamental plants.

The bamboo seeds are characterized by a variety of red or orange fruits with white or pink bell-shaped flowers, loose-end clusters, and unique irregular surfaces. Simple leaves are tracked alternately. Many species have unique red bark

Madrona, Pacific Madrona, Laurel Wood, Oregon Laurel, A and so on. Menziesii is taking place from British Columbia to California in the western part of North America. The length is about 23 meters. Dark elliptical shiny leaves are 5 to 15 cm (2 to 6 inches) long and the bottom is light grayish green. White flowers grow into pyramid-shaped tufts with a height of 3 to 9 inches (7 to 23 cm). As the tree grows, the old bark peels off and the bark of red and cinnamon appears.

Strawberry tree A. undo is a native of Southwest Europe, but it was introduced in the warm region of West America. There are one to several trunks of shiny elliptical or oval leaves with a height of 3 to 9 meters and a length of about 9 cm (3.5 inches). Branches are thick and hairy. White or pink flowers hang, fruit, edible is tasteless, resembles the size and color of strawberries

Arbutus or Pacific Madrone is a wonderful tree growing along the west coast. In British Columbia, Arbutus menzeisii is located in Vancouver Island, the Gulf Islands and dry southeast under the mainland. They are very unique trees and are often used by local artists to make them near rocks and resist strong winds. These unique and impressive trees live in rocky outcrops due to rapid drainage, shallow and low nutritious soil. In these places the trunk is divided into several major branches, usually close to the ground, forming many red, orange, yellow-green twisted branches. Yomei is the sun's love tree

On South Vancouver Island, almost all coastal areas will have famous bamboo groves. Regional parks are the perfect place to see these wonderful trees. Metchosin's Witty's Lagoon Regional Park has a very large bamboo grove. The beach trail begins next to the nature center and takes hikers to one of the largest and oldest bamboo groves in the area.

It is also known as Madrona or Madrone native to the western coastal region of North America. It is very difficult to transplant and I like to rock the area south facing the sun. Their bark is orange / red, peeling off like a snake skin, a satin feeling appears below. It is an evergreen tree that blooms in spring and puts red fruit in autumn. When the fruit dies, they raise the barbs and use them to attach themselves to the animals for transplant. Under ideal growth conditions, these trees can grow up to 98 feet. Their colors and curved trunks will be beautiful trees that they can outline the landscape

The research published in 2001 showed that bayberry is a by-product as a result of analysis of ribosomal DNA of bayberry and its related genera. Close and the split between the two groups occurred at Paleogene / Neogene boundary. The tree of Arbutusuedo forms part of the coat of arms of Madrid city (El osoyelmadroño, bear and strawberry trees).
