Arab Music

The word "music" of Arabic music comes from Greek Mousiki, which means "science making up a melody". Ilm al-musiqa is the name given to the Greek music theory by Arabs to distinguish it from alm al-ghinaa in Arabian theory. The tradition of Arabic music developed in the court of the dynasty of the Islamic empire from the 7th century to the 13th century. It prospered in the 7th and 8th centuries of the Syrian Umayyan dynasty. The main focus of Arabic music appeared after the spread of Islam in the early 7th century, but the tradition of music began.
