The use of project management is becoming increasingly common in today's organizations. The meaning of project management is to use expertise, skills, and methods to meet the requirements of the project (McGraw-Hill Education, 2013). In my current work environment, we rely on extensive research, customer service, conflict resolution, and technology introduction. As the first small business owner and research assistant, project management is very important.

In many organizations project management practices are established and we believe that senior leaders are necessary to achieve results. In fact, projects of these organizations will not be started unless project management is applied. Change management is not necessarily the same, even if people who manage changes are essential to achieving the project's desired business outcomes. Leaders and sponsors are unable to integrate change management and project management activities vitally because of limited knowledge of change management needs. Leadership teams need to treat change management equally, so that results as well as integration can be effectively generated.

The change management process is a sequence of steps or activities that the change management team or project leader follows when applying change management to a project or change. According to Prosci's survey of the most effective and commonly used changes, most change management processes consist of three phases. Preliminary evaluation includes organization evaluation, cultural and historical assessment, employee evaluation, sponsor assessment, and change assessment. Each tool provides the project team insight into the challenges and opportunities that may be encountered during the change process.
