QC is similar to quality assurance (QA), but it is not the same. Quality assurance is defined as a program or sequence of steps designed to ensure that the product or service under development is satisfied with the specified requirements (before and after the work is completed). QA may also be expressed as a single expression, quality assurance and management (QA / QC) with QC. To implement an effective QC program, an enterprise must first decide which specific standards must be met for a product or service.
