There is a delicate boundary between anxiety and depression. A line that is often blurred. Although there is a difference between the two, there are many similarities, which may lead to misdiagnosis of the patient. If both diseases are present, it becomes more complicated. For example, the National Institute of Mental Health (2009) conducted a study on anxiety disorder and found that 53.7% reported that they suffered from major depression as a secondary disease. Researchers pointed out that people with severe depression may feel uneasy.

We say that anxiety and depression influence many of you and 10% of adults in the US are feeling stress and anxiety everyday. Depression and anxiety can have a major impact on our daily life and overall health. We can influence our emotions, social interactions, sleeping etc, but can our daily behavior predict the severity of anxiety and depression? Our research team is trying to find more. Severe depression is largely related to discordance of sleep patterns and disorders, such as spending a lot of time waking up in bed. People who take medications of anxiety or depression may have better sleep than those who are not receiving treatment, but sleep patterns are not consistent. Participants who were previously hospitalized for anxiety or depression tend to lose consistency in their sleep patterns.

Depression and anxiety are one to one. Even if there is no opponent it is difficult to feel people. However, depression and anxiety have distinct origins. The foundation of depression has come from the past. The root of frustration is the disappointment with what is said and ended, disappointment with people and circumstances, sorrow of loss, despair of expectations that never have been encountered. On the other hand, I am worried about thinking about the future. Loss, change, and fear of what is generally unknown are fundamental causes of anxiety in our lives.
