Ansel Adams

A photographer was born on 20th February 1902. Ansel Easton Adams grew up in San Francisco, California and is the only child of New England parents Charles Hitchcock and Olive Adams. Adams' father is a businessman of a company including insurance agents and chemical factories. Ansell has an interest in music since childhood. He taught himself how to play the piano He likes to stay in the natural environment. Ansell went to public schools and private schools. At home, his father taught him mathematics and French classes.

In 1984, the US Congress established the Ansel Adams Wilderness Area between Yosemite National Park and John Muir Wilderness Area in California. Mr. Ansel advocates expanding the national park system and emphasizing the importance of nature for humans and society as a whole.
