Some of your courses at Ashford University require you to write annotated bibliographies. Annotated bibliographies are working lists such as reference books, journal articles, online documents, web sites, etc. It is used for papers, research papers, projects. However, each reference is followed by a short summary called a comment and a paragraph of evaluation. The purpose of the annotation is to inform the reader of the relevance, accuracy and quality of the cited sources and to explain how sources of information are used or related to paper or projects.
It is important to understand what an annotated reference is and what it provides. Annotated bibliography is a systematic list of articles, books, websites, and documents. A brief description follows each quote (usually 150 words) and the evaluation paragraph. The purpose of the annotation is to give the reader an understanding of the relevance, accuracy and quality of the cited sources. In other words, the reader should know whether the material is important and why. The abstract is a purely descriptive abstract, mainly at the beginning of a journal index or academic journal article, but annotations are expressive and important. It may also include a unique feature of the author's perspective, which is clear or authoritative and properly expressed.
