Ancient Roman Government

The city of Rome is in the Tiber river of Italy. The nearby volcano widened the ash into the city and promoted the growth of the cultivated land. Rome began around 1000 BC and was founded by Romulus and Thunder. The Etruscans were those who conquered the early Romans in 616 BC and reigned them for the next 100 years. About 550 BC, the Romans eventually purged the Etruscans and began to rule again. They came up with a new type of government called the Republic.
