Ancient India was influenced by three major religions developed by the Indian subcontinent. Hinduism is the oldest of the three and is said to be the oldest major religion in the world. The other two major religions are Jainism and Buddism established at the same time. Each of these three religions has something for Indians. There are some similar concepts in these religions, but there are also big differences. Each of these religions has developed a lifestyle that has been going on for centuries to this day.

Hinduism is one of the oldest religious practices in India. Vedanta is the real name of this religion. When British rule began to live in India, this ancient religion developed into Hinduism like today. Hinduism is a very complex religion and can not form a single definition against it. The main feature of this religion is the great difference between the practitioners' beliefs and rituals. Hinduism is created by intermingling two different cultures, the Arian civilization and the Indus civilization. About 1500 BC, the Aryans invaded India and imposed their religious themes on the Indians. After all, the Aryan religion absorbed the rituals of the locals and eventually changed to Hinduism.
