When Aristotle observed the world around him, he observed that things are changing in some way. Aristotle discovered that certain things lead to other things leading to other things. Aristotle believes that a chain of infinite causal relationships is impossible, so a motive must exist as the first cause of all things that change or move. The first evidence Aristotle saw was the world around him. He is observing that everything is moving, and some action causes another action.
The ancient philosophy is almost entirely Greek. The greatest philosophers of the ancient world were the three Greeks of the 400s and the 300s, Socrates, Plato and Aristotle. Their philosophy has influenced the later Western culture. Our ideas in the fields of metaphysics, science, logic and ethics are derived from their ideas. Many unique philosophical genres flourish even in ancient Greece. Former Socrates was the first Greek philosopher. Their name comes from the fact that most of them lived before Socrates was born around 469 BC. The philosophers of the former Socrates focused on the nature and source of the universe, and the nature of reality. They want to identify what they think is the fundamental entity of all phenomena and can explain all phenomena
In the Western tradition, the ancient philosophy was developed mainly by Socrates, Plato and Aristotle. However, the ancient philosophy included philosophy before Socrates, Hellenistic philosophy, and Roman philosophy. The Western ancient philosophy is different from the medieval philosophy. The medieval philosophy is influenced by Christianity and Islam. Ancient philosophies from non-Western traditions such as China and Indian philosophy often have strong ethical or religious concerns that remain a major part of today's tradition.
Ancient philosophy was the ancient philosophy, or the philosophy before the demise of the Roman Empire. It usually refers to the philosophy of ancient Greece. It can also encompass various other intellectual traditions such as Chinese philosophy, Indian philosophy and Iranian philosophy. Ancient philosophy is often deeply rooted in religious tradition. Therefore, the ancient philosophy has a comprehensive view, not a modern or contemporary philosophy.
