Our book is aimed at introducing the basic history of the civilization of the ancient world. The civilization that Western countries do not normally study is Asian civilization. Asian culture and history are relatively mysterious, the Western world is not known. However, in order to realize the objectives of this class and the overall theme of world civilization, fundamental research on Asian history was carried out. Therefore, I believe that reading our chapters 3, 6, and 12 is an introductory study of the vast history of the ancient Asian civilization.
The ancient Indian civilization developed along the Indus River around 2,500 BC, and the ancient Chinese civilization developed along the Yellow River around 2000 BC. Although historians have learned more about ancient Chinese civilization and are geographically isolated, they understand the Hindu civilization that India developed along Indus. Ancient Chinese sentences were deciphered simply because they evolved into modern Chinese characters. However, the Harappan civilization developed a writing system that can not be deciphered because the civilization disappeared and no other civilization appeared.
"Cradle" of Chinese civilization is the way Yellow River is often described. The bank is very prosperous in history, the birthplace of ancient Chinese civilization. This civilization was torn up by the war and divided into dynasties of different lengths. It is usually a war between the two. All factions compete for control. However, this fight can only be achieved in the fertile land around the Yellow River. About 12,000 years ago, humans changed the hunting and gathering method. They began to form a so-called agricultural society. Agricultural society is a society that utilizes cultivation of land mainly agriculture and agriculture as a source of main wealth. Agriculture and agriculture require water and plenty of water. They also need fertile soil. Therefore, humans always settle along the river flood plain.
