"Slave of 12 years" is a personal story about Solomon North, a free man forced to become slavery. As a young adult, Northup is a very talented violinist. Local people liked listening to him until two men offered him money to participate in travel music in 1841. I accepted the north up, but soon became slavery by drugs. Then he was sold at the New Orleans auction. This is an example of cheating and cruel Caucasian. It also shows how easy it is for a black man to be cheated as a slave after living in a free state.

North up has been enslaved to the south for 12 years and finally rescued from cotton farms near Red River, Louisiana in 1853. After returning to his family in New York in 1853, North Up released his story. Unlike the fictional explanation of slavery, the story of Northrop explains the institution he experienced.
