Two articles compared in this article are Scott Fitzgerald's novel "The Great Gatsby" and Arthur Miller's "The Death of a Salesman". Both of these works will center around the "American Dream" and its unwelcome center topic. However, the motivation involved was accused of murder and adultery, but the journey the organizer did to achieve its tragic result was quite different. The purpose of this paper is to determine whether the best of novels and dramas can attract readers and stimulate them.

A death of a salesman and a great Gatsby showed the corruption of the American dream of the early 20th century by showing the two generals of Jay Gatsby and Willy Roman. These societies have invisible but definite walls that prevent them from realizing their dreams. The first thing to blame on is that their failure to realize their dreams is blamed on a corrupt society, but there is a problem with the character himself. Gatsby and Willy misunderstood the meaning of American dreams. Gatsby said that his efforts were all to swear his lover, which proved his beliefs. He only wants to prove all the unethical behavior he did to become rich by hiding a romantic story. He even cheated himself, and Daisy was the only one that Daisy mistakenly believed that he was waiting for him to rescue her from Tom's world. After noticing that this view is wrong, Gatsby no longer has reason to live.
